Attention Metalheads! The third annual Dirtbag Dave Throwdown is set for 2 p.m. on July 27th at the Silver Dollar Saloon with eight bands on the line-up.
Dave Garcia, Dirtbag Dave himself, says, “This year’s festival has involved more money and 6 more months of planning and coordinating compared to last year’s Dirtbag Dave Throwdown! This one is definitely on a larger scale than last year’s Throwdown! You will not be disappointed in this years line up from beginning to end!”
This year’s throwdown has a wide variety of metal genres from Sludge, Southern, Technical to Thrash metal.
Fun fact about some of the talent in this year’s throwdown, Eyehategod’s Jimmy Bower is in a couple of bands with Phil Anselmo from Pantera, with a couple of bands being Down and SuperJoint Ritual. Shattered Sun’s lead vocalist Marcos Leal is also the singer for Ill Nino.
Over the last two years the Dirtbag Dave Throwdown has continued to grow and turn heads. Dave expects this years record attendance to be smashed.
It is advised by Dave to dress for the summer festival heat and vibe. It will be in late July and outdoors with shading. The Silver dollar saloon has a restaurant open and cooking food all day, with access to indoor a/c relief when needed!
Presales for the Throwdown are $20 and can be purchased through Dave himself and his wife Reshell Garcia, or through some of the local bands on the line-up for paper tickets or you can buy online digital tickets at www.dirtbagdavethrowdown.com. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door for $25. It is an 18 and up event, so leave the little ones at home.
