You Are Enough

You are not important. you will always come up short. no matter what you do, you will always be inadequate.
.
You will never be pretty enough, smart enough, fun enough, short enough, tall enough, fit enough, educated enough, wise enough, influential enough. you will never be enough.
.
I’ve thought about these words. words the world has spoken to me over the years. words that are always hard to hear. words that i began to wear like coats until i realized, they didn’t belong on me.
.
The world, the darkness, the enemy, the devil – it will use these words to try to identify us. because if it can take our identity, then we are incapable of walking in our purpose. and walking in purpose is how we positively impact the world.
.
Next time you hear these words or if you have been wearing them for years, know that someone around you has heard them, too. darkness is never creative, it’s just dark.
