The “support local” movement in Wichita Falls is ever growing. It is not uncommon these days to see local businesses such as Gypsy Kit, Ganache, Shoe Closet and Sewn sharing one another’s Facebook posts, and this is not something that would have happened just a few years ago. There is an attitude of community and support that is becoming contagious among Wichita Falls business owners, musicians, and artist. Adding more fuel to this flame is the Gypsy herself, Tagan Couch. Tagan has just launched a new website and Facebook page that makes it easier for you to support local restaurants. EatLocalWF.com features a list of locally owned restaurants and their menus, such as 8th St. Coffee House, P2 – The Deuce, Deli Planet, and many more. These restaurants will be collaborating on events such as this month’s “Restaurant Week” from March 6-10 and will be giving away gift certificates via their Facebook page. They are already planning another event for the fall as well. Be sure and follow their Facebook page for updates-and remember that eating local supports local families.
