How long have you been playing percussion?
I started in junior high. I quit for a long time but picked it up again after high school…so seriously for about 16 years now!!
Who do you consider to be your musical influences?
I have a lot of Christian contemporary influences and black gospel, but also people like Luis Conte, Alex Acuna, Dave Weckl and Steve Gadd. I’m always looking for new people to pick stuff up from!!
Who are you currently playing with?
I currently play with Barefoot Dixie.
Who are some past acts you’ve played/recorded with?
I’ve played with the Joesf Glaude Group in Tulsa and did some recordings on vimeo…right now Barefoot Dixie has a some songs from a 3 track ep we did.
What bands have you been listening to lately? Who is your favorite band/musician?
Well I am from Texas so George Strait is always good!!! lol… but also I’ve been getting into a new guy named James Bay. Really good song writing stuff. I enjoy people who play acoustic guitar and sing.
If not for music, where would you be?
….Oh man, if it wasn’t for music I don’t know where I would be. I might quite honestly be dead….lol…not funny … but really though. Music, from Christian gospel to all forms of mainstream music saved me from some dark times in life, as many others may agree.
